Curbside service in Samut Sakhon

The day started when I was dropped off on the side of the highway in Samut Sakhon (about 30 miles outside of Bangkok) after a 12 hour bus ride from Phuket. Carolyn, Erika, and I, along with about 200 pounds of luggage, stood there in a stuper with a couple stray dogs staring at us as they walked by uninterested by the new farangs (foreigners) in town. Then a HOT PINK taxi from nowhere showed up and took us to our hotel. A lady from our placement company showed us apartments all day. IT WAS HOTTT rolling around the town of Samut Sakhon without A/C. We had no luck in our apartment search the first day.. we had a few leads almost landed a golden gated mansion (literally) but then they wanted a year contract so that failed. But then we found our place complete with a kind size bed and 4 walls.. couldnt ask for more! We got a 5 piece sheet set for the bed. Then, we opened it. Did you know that a sheet set means one fitted sheet cover and 4 pillow cases... what happened to the actual sheet in this deal? We can do without a sheet for a little while considering we decided to get one room for now. 3 girls on one bed, no covers, and a spare pillow case hanging over our vanity for decor! Keepin it classy.
