November ~ Just thought we would post some photos of some of our favorite students (yes... we do have them!), mostly from the after school classes as those are the students we actually get to work with for more than 1 week. Also, just some of the funny/random happenings here. This will probably be updated and added to later.

January ~ As you can see, this was started a few months ago but never posted. We've added some photos from January for you to see. There will probably be a few more in the next couple days as our winter camp comes to a close. It has been the easiest of all our teaching months here with only 25 lessons/wk. We teach three lessons in the morning (starting @ 9:50am with permission to come in later than 8:40 - assa!), and two lessons after lunch for our 'after school program' (which finishes at 2:40pm & we have permission to leave early this month). So really, its been a great, swiftly moving month & we only wish to have something similar happen come March with the official start of the school year.

Promise to get started on that Philippines blog soon!

xxJess & Fran

Fran & Stumpy

Yes, Stumpy was a real student of ours & no we did not give him the name. He was not, in the slightest bit, stumpy.

You can just see the "Stump" on his nametag

Snow White

One of Fran's 6th grade students (a male) dressed as snow white for their drama presentation. He was also wearing heels (which he ran in) and whitening face cream. Strange. Yet, many men wear makeup here.

Tom

Jess' favorite of the younger students (Tom is in 1st grade). He is a little old man in a little boys body.

Sleeping Lions

Fran playing sleeping lions with the students - a great con of a game where the students have to pretend to be sleeping & thus quiet.

These were supposed to be part of the N.I.E. (News In Education) programme which our school slowly dismantled

isn't 'sleeping lions' the best!?
We call it 'dead ants'- the only way to get 5 minutes peace when Fran was small....sorry,son.X

Sleeping logs
is what it's called round our way and we have a photo of Michael resolutely looking round whilst the rest of his Reception class play obediently. Remember even the awkward ones are lovable! xx
