Hello everyone,

We wrapped up our European adventure and are now in Nepal for the start of our Asian stint.

The rest of Italy was great. Vernazza, our town in Cinque Terre was adorable. We did the hike between the 5 towns and enjoyed every bit of it. It was cool to be up in the hillside above the Med Sea and come up to each little town. Our hotel, Gianni Franzi was the best with an awesome view and our balcony overlooking the sea and a couple of the other towns! We'd definitely go back.

Next on to Rome- the Eternal City. Our first day we walked (nearly) all of ancient Rome taking in the Colosseum, the Forum, Palatine Hill, and the Pantheon- marveling at how OLD it is!! We also stopped by Trevi Fountain to enjoy a gelato and ensure a return trip to Rome by tossing our coins into the fountain. The next day was spent in Vatican City: museums, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica. As Catholics, it was a cool experience to be there and the art was amazing... also the view from the top of St. Peter's dome is unbeatable. Our last day was spent seeing some of the other sights (Spanish steps, Piazza Novana etc) and loading up on Italian food one last time!

Yesterday, we arrived in Kathmandu Nepal. It's a totally different experience than being in Europe, but we are glad we came. Today we walked to Durbar Square to admire the temples and learn about Nepali culture from our guide. Tomorrow (if the weather holds) we're taking an hour flight to see Mt. Everest then hope to do a little shopping (Pashminas and mountain gear on every block).

From Kathmandu, its on to Delhi in India. More to come!
