Bye to Beijing

The fist day in Beijing the Olympic torch was being lit in Athens - as we left the airport the Olympic torch was in Tienamenn Square. A few pics from our last days in China... a fascinating place bursting with new buildings yet still got loads of history. The opening ceremony of the Olympics will be absolutely stunning!

We walked to the Temple of Heaven
..sounds like a line from a song...stunning park and ancient buildings including a stone which is at the centre of the Chinese universe.
