Today we departed Vientiane on an all day bus ride to the border town of Lak Sao. We arrived & had to order dinner three hours in advance because it was one of only two restuants in town. We toured the markets located behind our guest house and on the way back witnessed a very odd thing. Somebody had relocated their television set atop their verandah. Not too strange perhaps, except it was turned on - wish I had a photo because it was quite bizarre.
