100Yen for commerative token
I was crazy over such machine last year. So, couldn't miss this opportunity now.. hee hee.. This was really one theme park that we could not miss, or rather MUZ go again!
We went to DisneySEA last year so we decided on DisneyLAND this time. (Even though DisneySEA was very fun)
DisneyLAND was definitely bigger then DisneySEA. Though LAND was still a fun place, I would prefer SEA. B'coz there was just too many ppl at LAND. How come there were so many "eng eng cheng cheng" locals who visit LAND? My gosh, will the theme park at S'pore's upcoming IR be as charismatic. There were many families with really young children. And, students seemed to treat it as an after sch activity coz there were just as many of them.
After the oishii lunch at one of the many food outlets there, we hastened our pace to try out the rides. So, I said we shld try the one that was right next to the food outlet. Based on its exterior, I thought it should be a mild 3D ride. When I moved on with the queue inside, it dawned on me that I read abt sharp turns and drops at the information board at the entrance. SHARKS!!! The repeated reminder notice at
the queue raised my fear that it might not be a 3D ride and it could be something much more thrilling. I began to have cold feet, I wanted out. It became more perplexed why I hastily enter this ride without thinking we just had lunch. "it's not going to be a free fall ride, it's not goin to be a free fall ride" - I prayed (hard). Buzzer rang and time for us to board the "spacecraft"... keeping my fingers crossed. It was simply a 3D ride as I thought initially. Chey!
Later in the day, we didn't go on many rides due to queue but had one indoor (sorta) roller coaster ride. This was thrill ride but I was more prepared for it (coz it couldn't be free fall ride).
When walking around park, I saw a lot of Halloween decor around. Cute ghostly figures were everywhere. N there was parade of Halloween theme. Their theme song was infectious (think it's just the first line of each verse) "It's Har-lo-win, It's Har-lo-win, it's har-lo-win....." Throughout the japan trip, the 3 of us couldn't help but reminded ourselves of this one-liner.
There were two other parades
Disneyland station
magic moment starts from the station which I enjoyed too. The parade at night,
Dreamlights, was well worth the wait. Owing to our experience earlier in the day, we decided muz find a spot to sit and wait for the parade. If not, we could only stand at some lousy spot and be block by heads / trees/ video cam etc. Thus, we went to the parade ground to chope a seat abt 30mins early. There were already many ppl sitting on the floor waiting patiently for the show before us. I was really impressed how beautiful the lit-floats could be. Woah... So, I quickly videoed it instead of taking pics (anyway, my cam can't take really nice night photos lah).
To end the day, we had to do some shopping for goodies like every one else in the park. There were many many outlets that sucked consumers' dollars. 33 named the park as "Xi(1) Jing(1) Guang(2) Chang(4)" (literal translation: Suck Gold Bazaar). Despite this, customers had a sense of satisfaction.
The crowd and merchandise bored me a little (so many ppl, so much to buy but so little money) so I decided to go around to admire the shops' attractive window displays. Very Here I come!
"I can show you the world, shining, shimmering, splendid..." amusing displays.. check out some of the photos..
At 10pm - closing time, left LAND feeling how fast the day ends... perhaps we needed 2-3 days to truly visit every kiddish corner and play on every ride at LAND & SEA.
