Our Little House on the PrairieOur Little House on the PrairieOur Little House on the Prairie

Remember what I said last time. The Walls were thin
I missed sending a picture of the last place we stayed at.

Miyajima is a beautiful island just west of Hiroshima. We are constantly surprised by what we think we are going to see and what we actually see. Language fortunately in some cases brings us surprises. Such as this island. We did not know for example that the deer on this island are tame and everywhere. Anyone can touch and play with them, they are not shy. ( I caught this one playing in the water)

We had a great time walking around this island and took a rope cable to the top then walked down 2 km. Little did we know that the walk was down extremely steep hills. This place also boasts the worlds largest rice scoop. It is about 20 feet long. Trust the Japanese to try to make a buck selling all different sizes of rice scoops.

At night they lit up the shrine sign in red. (See pic)

Nagasaki is nothing special to speak of as a tourist. Like Hiroshima it was bombed and there
are memorials also.We did alot of walking and visited temples and shrines.

We go to Osaka tomorrow morning by train. (Bullettttttttt) See Pic. Then we head out to South Korea to
the land of Samsung

The tide comes in at night and the gate is surrounded by water. During the day you can walk to it.
