'I've got your picture.. I've got your picture!' I really think so! This place really is awesome!!! We arrived here four days ago but I will write this blog to cover most of what we have done up until this point because we are falling behind and you need photos!! Well, for starters, we are at Meg and Cam's place. We began our holiday here by vegging out for a whole day (Which was soooo wonderful I can tell you - we needed to chill out!!) and visited the park and a few really funky shops around Fuchinobe, which is about a five minute walk and a few blocks away from Yabe, where Meg and Cameron live.. We started at the local park which is gorgeous.. There were ornamental trees all around the place and well-manicured ... read more

This is my first time writing a journal and do not know how it supposed to be but anyway i just want to write something about the places i've been (don't bother abt the grammar ya) and keep it as a memory. I'll learn coz i'm a fast learner. Well.. the more places i've been, the more things i find that is very interesting. Really an eye opener about people, culture and the environment. I am not a japanese but since i live in Japan now i started to appreaciate things around my surrounding like now is a cherry blossom season. Sakura... they are just beautiful especially when they are just infront of your street. Along my place is Honmoku Dori... full with sakura trees and along sakuramichi toward Sankien Garden which is a a very ... read more

So just incase anyone is still actually reading this blog after my long winter break hiatus and recent tendencies of writing a Japanese blog on a completely different site and even using Japanese on this site, I will bring forth a little bit of writing to those dedicated enough to possibly be still be hanging around. Oh let me quick start off by saying that recently my University back home in Pennsylvania has published my article I wrote back yonder about the Momiji in Kyoto, thus if you never have read that maybe you should! Alright let’s get this show started. This past weekend I took the Friday night bus with Levi from Umeda Osaka to arrive Saturday morning in Shinjuku Tokyo, where we would then ride the JR trains to the neighboring, but almost blended ... read more

i'm way tired. today i went to the tokyo metropolitan art museum with satchang, and we saw the romanov treasures exhibit. they had the gowns and uniforms of nikolai and alexandra, perhaps the most fascinating rules in the line of romanovs, as well as intricate jewelry, jewel-encrusted flatware, and things of the like. it would have been an added bonus to have seen some faberge eggs, but my mom brought me to an exhibit of the eggs years ago, and they had some jewelry designed by faberge, so it wasn't as though i missed anything. afterward, we walked around ueno park, where i saw japanese breakdancers and some guys dressed like 'happy days' characters, doing the fonzie dance to old rock and roll songs. satchang and i also got to see more of the temples and ... read more

Yokohama is where we spent new years. The city of Yokohama is quite beautiful actually... well, almost reminds me of San Francisco for some reason. Maybe it was the climate the time, kinda cloudy, kinda cold. But in reality was quite a bit colder (not snowing, but at 0 degrees). That was the year that Japan was to hold the World Cup, interesting how now that I am heading to Germany in 2006, it is time for the World Cup again. Soccer and I must be fated. I should watch more soccer. ... read more
