We return to Bali via Perama boat to follow the journey in bus infected of mosquitos towards PadangBai.

PadangBai is a small fishing town in the south of Bali connecting Bali to Lombok with the main public ferry.

It sits on a small bay with 2 main beaches: white Sand and Blue Lagoon.

We sayed at Celagi Inn - referred by our friend Jury whom we met at Swara.

Indeed the hotel is runned by a very sweet family: Made and Ilo, and there 3 kids: Poutou, Krishna and Bartez.

Mostly Made and his employee Ketut have assisted us in our requests and have been very helpful.

There we met a lovely french couple: Matthieu and Krystelle from Brittany and also had a nice discussion with a Japanese couple.

It is so nice to be able to exchange on our travels, tips and so on.

There wasn't a lot to see in Padangbai itself but it was nice to be able to relax at the white sandy beach and to have the chance to talk with the locals who run small warungs by the beach. Mostly we have been talking to Yoman who runs a snorkelling / massaging little shop. We recommend her massage. Tiny woman has got skils!

We understood that there is a great competition within the owners and they aren't nice with eachother. They were 5 warungs for food and 3 were owned by the same family.

The other beach, Blue laggon, where we met Matt and Krystelle who lend us their gear to enable us to snorkel for the day. Thanks guys...;-)

We have been a bit disappointed by the hawkers' persistance as the beach is very small and don't give much of privacy. Nevertheless, we saw colorful fishes and they are so closed to the beach you don't need to dive.

Padangbai is very lively at night, lots of bars playing reggae music and live band (more karaoke style...). We mostly went to Topi Inn as the decor and the staff were nice and the place enabled us to skype in a simily quiet environment.

We also discovere a great warung for fish: Warung PadangBai Cafe. Thanks to Dan the owner and fisherman we had so far our best fish: barracuda, mahi-mahi, tuna, marlin.. all freshly barbecued on request served with a buttery garlic sauce, rice and vegs

Just for this we will be back...

pineapple pancake, fruits salad and bali coffee
