Our bedroom!Our bedroom!Our bedroom!

A hamsters cage!
Sorry this is late, but we're actually in Thailand now! its Jan 3rd today and we've just finished a great couple of weeks on koh phangan with Charlie for Christmas and new year. Our next blog will look amazing- we gaurantee it! Its been a bit of a holiday here, but we cant wait to get back to real Asia. Its our last night tonight (and the full moon party!) so we're gonna be having it large on the beach! We're only just recovered from new year- it was mind blowing (you'll see what we mean from the pics!). Anyway, we'll get that blog on here as soon as we can - more promptly than this, we promise! - but for now, here's some of the stuff we did in Goa!

Goa!

We arrive in Arambol at midday after catching two hot, stinky buses packed with people. Its much hotter here than anywhere north but people are still keen to squash as many bodies as possible into a small space. Using our bible we found a wicked hostle, just off the beach. It's a family run place, nice and cheap and had a fun, chilled atmosphere. The first night

we stayed on the floor as it was fully booked. The rest of the week we stayed in a hut on the roof which even had a fan! Our plan was only to stay in Arambol for one night and then move down south to the more lively places. Instead we hired a scooter and visted the other beaches, realising they were rubbish compared to Arambol and were filled with tourists! We finally got to eat some flesh and got stuck into some prawn curries. Prawn chilli fry was a favourite but gave Nessy D&V on our last day! Poor Nessy, she's only just recovering.

We went to a night club with a guy we met called Steve. He's from Saltwood, Hythe! Small world! The club was pretty dead but we had a blinder anyway. No raves on the beach though- we'll save that for Thailand.

The Flea market on Wednesday was wicked but exhausting- we didn't even get past the first row of stalls before spending all our cash! Got some cool clothes and pretty things and ended with a beer in the beach bar with a live blues band.

One afternoon we spent writing all

This is where we sat while writing all our blog texts- a hard life you'll agree.
these blog entries in a little book to make typing them up a bit quicker. We sat in a beach bar listening to Guns n Roses, Blink 182, Faithless and Bob Dylan and drinking too many Kingfishers. Then out came a barbeque and a table covered in fresh fish. We had a massive tuna steak and a pomfret (a cross between skate and tuna, and Pete's new favourite fish). Then came the entertainment! A sign appeared that the best magician in Goa was coming! In fact, it was a group of French carnies (circus folk)- one weird dancing girl who was like Peter Pan, one fire juggler, and one balancey-ball-man with twisty legs!

One of the best bits of Goa was drinking and eating fresh coconuts on the beach- Castaway style!

Wow!
Just loving your blog - looks like you're having a fantabulous time. Glad it's such fun and you're keeping safe and well (apart from the odd bout of charlie chuckup!! - just remember to steer clear of the McDonald's chicken mcchuckup pete!). Went to see Bince today with his new lady - had lunch in a pub at Burnham on Crouch. Nice fish - local skate - but not quite such variety as on your barbecue. Can't wait to see the new year pix. Love to you both x x x
