We arrived at our beach resort which was quiet and very scenic despite the poverty which surrounded us. The next few days was a chance to relax and detach ourselves from reality, taking in the sun, the warm sea and the endless sand! We went on an island trip for the day with just us on the island playing volley ball/ snorkelling and fishing. The food we had was great- barbequed barracuda cooked on a fire on the beach! Hey i even caught a fish with a bottle, a hook and some bate.
Bayus our guide for the day was excellent and all in all was a great day!

The evening was taken up with playing pool and having a great meal on the beach, which incidently was all lit up with coloured lights/ candle light and small beach fires. Romantic for any of you married to bes out there, mentioning no names S + L , S + R!

Incidently when playing pool a car managed to collide with a scooter right next to us making a real mess! John and i did what we could checking them out and giving basic first aid but both partys seemed

update from ross on wye
so glad you got to Angkor, brilliant to see the photos! Dinyar spent the weekend getting his hands shredded by pampas grass in our overgrown garden and hauling the choking vegetation out of the pond. We've uncovered the well, which is nearly as deep as the house is high- quite scary to look down! also had his sister and family over so fun weekend. Mum and Dad down next weekend to help us do some painting x
