Well i have spent just over a week in Cambodia, first stop was Phnom Penh, did the usual visits S-21 where Pol Pot prisoned and torchered people, the killing fields where the mass graves are and also did another shooting range. S-21 is quite eerie, you can walk into the converted classrooms/prison rooms and they have a bed in the middle of the room with iron restraints on the bed and if you look on the wall there is a photo of the person that was found dead next to where you stand. The killing fields where the people from S-21 were executed and buried are quite sureal aswell, not many people were talking after we left the site, leaves a lump your throat.

Cow blowing up time!!! ................. only joking before anyone starts, when you get to the shooting range they give you a menu and you can pretty much fire just about anything, anti aircraft, throw grenades, shoot tommy guns etc. but for a bazooka/grenade launcher its $200!!!!! and you have to go to the nearby army barracks to pick up the rockets.

Left Phnom Penh for Siem Reap, really nice place and lot of construction going on with some very swank hotels going up. Bought a 3 day pass for Angkor Wat, visiting the various sites around the area, definitley worth going to Angkor Wat, the temples and surrounding buildings are pretty amazing, with intricate details carved into stonework. This place is imense, we visited one of the temples where they filmed a scene for Tomb Raider, nature has pretty much taken over and trees are projecting out of huge stone walls and of the temple roof. After Siem Reap we headed to the coastal town of Sihanoukville for christmas, pretty dam good way to spend christmas day, on a sun lounger on the beach with an ice cold beer getting a massage, quality.

Be prepared to see some real poverty in Cambodia, people wandering the streets begging for money with missing limbs from standing on mines, starving women with babies barely hanging off them because the are addicted to Crystal Meth, kids that are so hungry they want the leftovers from your plate. Dont let any of those things put you off though, despite the poverty you can have great fun with the people and give them a little spare change at the same time, everyone is very friendly and after getting some of the country background history in Phnom Penh then taking in the sights of Angkor Wat, Cambodia is a pretty amazing place and i would definitley go back there.

I would have uploaded some photo's but my camera was stolen from my hotel room and i lost all my pics, especially the photo's of Angkor Wat, GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anyway i might have salvaged some and also managed to get some pics from the other guys which i will upload when i get a chance, i'm actually 2 weeks into Australia now so running a bit behind, but will def try to get some stories up over the next few days.
