Hi everyone

Another very hot day. Yesterday we were up around 6.30 a.m. and after breakfast we cycled to the hotel and enjoyed a day of swimming and sunbathing plus a few beers. Poor Bob was unwell last night so I went up to the restaurant and ordered chicken noodle soup that he ate in bed. I have it today but not as bad so we will be eating soup and bread and not celebrating Valentines Day - mind you I did get a card this year (the one that Bob forgot to bring last year). Despite that we had a great day at the pool. Bob cycled off at about 2.30 to watch the project's footie team. Apparently all the kids bar one had footie boots which meant that they all had to play in bare feet. One little boy ripped his toenail off and when Alan (main man of the project) told him that it would hurt and it probably did - no sound at all. He was only about 6 but very brave. On Tuesday Bob and I will be puppet making along with everyone else as the "Puppet Parade"is really massive out here. We (I mean me) have got used to the cycling despite nearly being knocked off several times a day! Although traffic heavy they do drive slowly. Have heard from Jaymes and Lauren whose cat Mr Clifford has been on a drip in the hospital as they thought he had a stroke but was actually poisoned. Anyway we will be meeting them both in Chang Mai on the 6,7 and 8 March.

Well not a lot happening at the moment.

Have a good Valentines Day.

LOL Lyn & Bob xx

Happy Anniversary
Hi Lyn and Bob It sounds as if you are both really enjoying your time at the orphanage and I am so proud of you both for getting out there and really helping someone out that really needs it. I was thinking of you both on your anniversary. Is it 24 years now? My how times fly!! Happy Valentine's day for today....it's Sunday morning, 8:30 am so Bruce is having a 'sleep in', I can't wait to get all my presents from him!! Just kidding....although he may (better have) something for me. Silly old romantic me got him some IRN BRU, a Fry's Chocolate Cream (not very healthy but it's a treat) and a card, plus I'm going to wake him up in the nude!!! hahaaa! The Olympic Games started last Friday (which was also Sophie's 7th birthday), and it's been great watching it all on the tv. We did not get any tickets to see the games as we thought it would be so crowded etc. but have been watching lots of tv coverage. Mark and Stacey have tickets for Canada v Norway ice hockey on Tuesday. Colin and Pat are up at Whistler for the whole time of the Olympics so their family will all be joining them at one time or another while they are there. Lucky them - they actually won this trip. Unfortunately for the Olympics, our weather has been unseasonably warm (even our grass needs cutting), so there is very little snow on the lower mountains. They have to truck snow in from wherever they can get it! Weird eh, and not very enviromental but what can you do? Sorry to hear about Mr. Clifford, I hope he is doing better now. Say hi to Jaymes and Lauren. I love getting your blogs so keep up the good work. Love Jill xoxoxo
