Staying with Sanga in Hongtsu

On the first weekend of our stay our good friend Sanga, invited us to his home up in the mountains in Hongtsu!

We arrived by bicycle, exhausted, after 18km of unrelenting uphill cycling at altitude, to find Sanga working in his garden. He was doing the kind of work that you wouldn't imagine a blind person to be well suited to - shaping rocks with a hammer.

OK..... this isn't actually the road to Sanga, but it was really really steep. The road to Hongtsu involved 18km of uphill and 600m of downhill! Exhausting!!
