Dear guys and gals of the reading community 😊

Sup this is the girlies here! Our past few days have been quite eventful...there have been lots of hugging, dancing and some dodgy singing!

O.K. Thursday...we went to the Grace school for the first time and we were dragged up at 6AM!! Thanks Mrs. Reeves! 😊 Bethan, Izzy and Nia do NOT enjoy getting up and Tilly has made a few cold and liquidy threats (cold flannel). As we arrived the lil kiddies' voices filled our freezing ears. It was cute and tots amazballs (as Izzy would say). We were introduced to the school within a tour and all the ladies were swooning over Oscar (watch out Mrs. Fountain!). We created and coloured an amazing alphabet for the kiddiliwinkles (BTW Bethan is typing and her speling is very bad 😉 ). A new game was created called Touch...meant to be tag but they don't speak much English and they didn't realise only one person is on so they went around shouting Tash at everyone and anything. Next was the 3p!c boarders! We played a can game and let's just say their feet eye co-ordination was better than ours. After cards, cold showers, stripy cake and an intresting dancing/photoshoot done by the well cool girlies we inspected the inside of our eyelids under our pink frilly bedding.

O.K...Friday...well...after the official welcoming assembly at the Grace done by the older peeps we had Mrs Reeves art lesson where we created mobiles with the children and hung them in a tree (the mobiles not the children!). The boys then did an English presentation while the girlies learnt the Shakira Waka Waka dance which we cannot stop adding to and doing. All afternoon in school it was bead and card making with grade 6. Then straight to after school club where we made heart shaped cushions while Tilly had a siesta. After supper more card games were played where lots of cheating went on and Bethan actually won for once...

O.K...Saturday...okidokay...one hour lie in woop woop party time! After a 2 hour car journey we arrived at Botshabelo rabid monkeys attacked us but WonderReeve and Granddaddy in the Hud came to our rescue by locking us in the bus with Mamma J while monkeys tried to rip off our precious windscreen wipers. We wondered round some dark huts with African art and insects inside. At the tea room Izzy's tongue was dyed orange because of luminous Fanta. We saw lots of baboons and ostriches. On the way back we stopped off at a scary shop filled with real giraffe heads and stuffed baboons. We brought some biltong (which the cat here seems to enjoys, she stole it! Naughty cat, but Mrs. Reeves got her back literally by sitting on her back!). In dinner we all discovered African left and right does exist 😉 wink wink (it was highly enjoyed by everyone because Izzy is highly gullable! BTW gullable has three Ls!). We shall now leave you in peace. PARENTS THAT HAVE NOT YET INTERESTED US WITH YOUR COMMENTS (cought Tilly's and Izzy's parents, we like to feel the love) PLEASE COMMENT! Thank you, we love you.

As Izzy would say TTFN (for the uncool it means ta ta for now)! Xxx

And a message from Mrs Reeves - everyone is fine and don't believe all you read above, the monkeys weren't rabid! Just naughty. It is not often you have a picnic inside a bus because you are surrounded by monkeys even on the bonnet peering in to see what was inside our rolls! We are all having a great time and the children are working so well together as a team; in fact, while I am doing this they are all practising Amazing Grace on the recorders and singing it ready for Church tomorrow. They are all eating and sleeping well and applying lots of sunscreen. It is hot and dusty during the day but oh so cold in the night, I have resorted to sleeping in a fleece and woolly socks!! They have thrown themselves into everything at the Grace School and although tired by the end of the day, there has not been one cross word or moan - both Mr Hudson and I are very proud of them all. By the way, older people here are respectfully called Granny for me and Grandfather for Mr Hudson, hence the Grandaddy reference above! Hope to update again tomorrow if Internet working--apologies for not being able to blog these last two days.

HUD
Grandaddy Hud eh?I can imagine that being mentioned at the next speech day!! St A's got a mention in the motoring section of the Telegraph today as someone in the School has designed a baby logo which is going to be stuck on a commemorative dinky car to celebrate baby George (you know the one whose great Grandaddy Win is Prince Philip!) Did you know that HUD stands for Heads Up Display? Any way it is great to see that Tilly is getting a regular siesta. I hope you have a great time at Church tomorrow and appreciate the musicality of the Africans, something I am very jealous of! May God bless you and keep you all safe and well and useful! DaddyBeck

Hello everybody! Sorry we have not commented before... We didn't realise we could. Can you see where Izzy gets it from? Great to see you are all having fun. The blogs and photos are 'amazeballs', just surprised to see that Izzy thinks TTFN is cool as we are not allowed to say it at home! Also surprised to see a photo that looked like you are washing up. I must have that wrong. Home is too quiet without you, missing you lots. Mum, Dad and Sam xxx

Hello!!
Dear all, so glad to hear from you. Norah and I spent Friday night checking or phones for a blog and then came to the conclusion that, as it was the girls time to blog, nothing would get done (that's you Nia and Izzy!). Happy to hear that, in Izzy speak, that eveything is "tots amazeballs" (sorry Nia, I know how much you hate me using "yoof speak"). All well here. We've had some rain, which was actually nice. Nat and Sam enjoyed seeing Usain Bolt run the 100m at the Olympic Stadium on Friday are are of course missing their sisters (not). Have a lovely Sunday and keep on enjoying everything. Mum/Sara xxxx

Rain
We could do with some here as all our lips are dry. But it's unbroken sunshine and warm days. Pity...

So glad to have you all back online - we've missed you! What wonderful photos so far - looks like you are all getting truly stuck in and enjoying yourselves. Not bad spelling for you Bethan!!!!! Great blog guys. Not sure if it is best to comment on blogs or send what are called private messages - please let us know which is best? Are you receiving both?? Love to you all xxxxxxxxxx

Blogs and messages
We get both--private messages are for when you don't want others to read them, of course.

Great Photos
These messages are best as I don't think I can respond to private messages. I'm so pleased you are proud of me. To be truly honest all the big words or tricky ones to spell were written by Nia. Love you too! So pleased you are sending me comments and writing on the blog, makes me really happy. Thanks so much for the second card, it's wonderful, it's stuck in my scrapbook! Love you so so so much and really missing you guys, so glad I brought them with me. No tears from anyone yet but I have a feeling they are on their way BIG time! Love B Xxx

Test Match
She can't bowl, she can't catch, but who cares, she bats like boycott. Get involved in the cricket girls! Has Nia had a shower yet?
