The Rwanda Genocide lasted from April to July 1994. Now the whole cause of the genocide was due to the earlier assassination of Rwanda's president Juvenal Habyarimana and Burndun's president Cyprien Ntaryamira plane being shot down before landing. There were many theories on who carried out the assassination, from the rebel Rwanda Patriotic Front or the government aligned Hutu Power Extremists. Regardless on who did it, it had set forth a long and bloody battle between two different ethnic groups: The Hutus and the Tutsis. This genocide was actually supported by the government, all due to the fact how it was mainly powered by the Hutus. Normal citizens would be changed into soldiers and they would willing kill their neighbors at anytime. The government not only used their army to carry out the genocide, but they also hired different militia groups to help carry out the process. However, the Tutsis also resisted and carried out their own attacks against the government. Even though their side was not as supported in Africa, their situation was widely talked about and caught the attention of different organizations.
