Not a blog per se more a brief itinerary of my trip to Southern Africa earlier this year between dates 14th Feb and 18th March 2011. The Zambezi River is in full flood, making it a spectacular sight and a thunderous noise but reducing visibility.

300,000 gallons of water per second flow over the lip of the falls.

The Falls are 100 metres high and 1 mile wide. During the rainy season it is impossible to see across the falls because of the spray.

as if....although I guess it can be done in the dry season and I believe you can also swim very close to the lip as well.
