The next few dozen photos are taken on a tour I joined. This is one of many bush toilet stops on the Kalhari highway, a relatively new road the dissects the desert. I guess we saw only around a dozen vehicles an hour, mainly trucks. There was a young German guy on the tour who was a very keen amateur film maker

Armoured Cricket

This was in the toilet/shower block at one of our campsites. Including its legspan it was about the size of my hand.

Home From Home

My tent, home for the next 9 nights. Over the course of my holiday I would stay in one of these for 11 nights. I have slept in the same type of tent in various parts Africa and India.

The Delta is one of the Natural Wonders of the world.

Formed by the Okavango River which unlike most rivers which flow into the sea the Okavango river due to an archaeological fault forms a massive lagoon creating an oasis in the Kalahari desert.
