Long Weekend in Marrakesh

Marrakesh turned out to be a lovely spot, perfect weather and the Atlas mountains to explore. It's weird going up in the snow, over the top, finding the sun shining again and the desert stretching out in front of us. Marrakesh itself is an interesting place to explore especially the Old Midina, go in the evening so you see the market stalls and everybody coming out and about after a days work. Best time is dusk.

Some trees have fruit, these ones have goats, it's great to see them up a tree having a meal

You can do a day trip out to the coast, have a walk around a traditional fishing town

The old city square at night is the best place to explore, you can sit in a restaurant above and watch it all unfold

Wherever in the world the kids seem to love to come and see what you are all about

Apparently these homes are all connected inside and generally all family members

We were there in November and snow was falling, you really had to be careful travelling up the mountain roads, we saw a few accidents along the way
