Well it's about time I write again and give you an update of our whereabouts and dealings. We recently flew from Cairo to Istanbul Turkey for I think the last leg of this trip, after spending almost 3 weeks in Egypt. You can see that the bride is traditionally attired and also wears a white head covering. This scene was in the big lobby of the hotel and nubian musicians were playing the drums and horns very loudly!

danced for the bride and groom. We saw no hired professional belly dancers. The women dancing would help confer fertility to the couple

during moslem call to prayer. This was in an alley end near entrance of our pension in Cairo

this was on a street in Alexandria. A good example of how the women dressed. We had fun walking the streets with everyone this evening and then... we ran into the wedding in a building....

We walked by this place and heard the loud Nubian music in the entrance so we stopped to see what was going on. One of the men invited us to come in to the party to dance and celebrate with them. Total fun!
