Back again!
i just thought i needed to mention this city. i was only here for maybe 4 days in total but its just a great little city! Everyone i meet thinks the same about it. There are the night markets where you can get anything you want, and nibble away at all the strange foods on offer. Then of course there are all the hill trekking tours on offer.
There are temples, bunji, snake farms , a zoo and a kick boxing stadium....the list goes on and on. Its like a smaller more relaxed Bangkok.
But the main thing about this town is the people. They are so friendly and always have a smile on their face which seems to rub off on the tourists aswell. Most of them work 12 to 14 hours a day with no weekend breaks never mind a holiday but they just smile and get on with it.
2 people i want to mention are Wee and Nui. Wee ran of the hotel i stayed at and was always first up and last to bed but her smile was very contagious. She was so friendly. Nui again is the same. She works 14 to
15 hours a day at a thai massage place but again is always joking and laughing. Great people!!
The only negative thing about the trip so far is saying goodbye to people like this and also the treking team i was part of. In a short time they became great friends.
I really hope to meet these people again someday......

A massage sounds like a good start to a good night!
Dam, wished I stayed out that night, Ryan said it turned out pretty good. I was just a little too hungover from your birthday the night before. Chaing Mai was amazing, Lao is just as amazing in its own way. Were at the Merry 1 Guest house in Luang Prabang, 5 minutes from the boat launch, right next to the river, not Mekong, same/same, but different, in the old part of town. Cheers, Dan and Ryan You're blog is awesome man, ours is www.danandryaninthailand.blogspot.com, I gotta find a USB cord that fits my camera and post some picks.
