My family in Enchanted KingdomMy family in Enchanted KingdomMy family in Enchanted Kingdom

This might look like a lot, but this is not even half of my family!!!
If anyone knows me properly, they know that Philippines is a place I love to go and spend good quality time with my family... especially my Grandmother... I could go on talking for days about my family and how I feel about being there with the people I love, the people who raised me when I was a baby upto 4 years old, the place where my mother was born!

I was in Philippines during Christmas & New Year's just gone, and it was one of the best times I've had in my life!!! So I came back this time during the Easter Bank Holiday for a week!!! I know that's absolutely crazy with Philippines being so far away from London, but I missed my family so much, that I had to come back and spend time with them, even if it meant going for only a week!!! But I came without them knowing and surprised them all, even my mum!!!! It was great!!!

I told my mum that Vicky, a very close friend to me, was coming to Philippines to see her family, but her mum wasn't coming until 2 days later, so I asked my mum if Vicky could stay with her until her mum picked her up! My mum fell for it and said yes! Now if your Filippino, you know that when you are going to Philippines, you have most of your family pick you up from the airport and when your travelling to wherever your going to, the jeepney, or car, or van is completely packed! This time I told my mum that because Vicky was a guest, there should be only her and my Uncle, again she agreed.

So I land in Manilla Airport and look for my mum and uncle, and I see them. My uncle sees me, but looks away, then looks again so shocked and surprised!!! I can see him looking shaking my mum trying to tell her that it's me and she too looks shocked!!! They were both so happy to see me, but they were asking where Vicky was, so of course I told them, that I was Vicky, but not!!! So I make them promise not to phone anyone so I can surprise them too, and when I get to the house, it worked!!! They were all happy and surprised to see me, especially my grandmother... but they were all still asking where Vicky was...

The next 7 days were fantastic. All my family I knew and met from Christmas came to visit nearly every night! There would be karoke & drinking nearly every evening with my uncles and friends and playing with my little cousins and friends was always fun. The way they would speak and try to make me understand what they are saying, the way they would laugh, the way they were with me!!! I love it all! But what I loved most was spending time with my grandmother! I love her so much and I know everyone always says their grandmother is the best, but my grandmother is such a wonderful, caring, giving person who I wish be like when i'm older!!!

The night before I left, we had a gathering at our house and EVERYONE i knew came to say goodbye to me! It was one of the best feelings ever to have them all there to say goodbye! Even the sisters of my grandmother were saying goodbye... The karoke and drinking was fantastic! We had soooooooooo much fun!!! Me being the lightweight in drinking, I was sooooooooooooooooo loud, especially in the singing department, and they were all laughing at me, in a good way... It was fantastic!!!!

The day I had to leave was one of the hardest!!! I was so happy when my grandmother said she would come to the airport with with me, along with most of my cousins... the goodbye's to everyone else was pretty hard too... seeing my little cousins running after the jeepney I was in... Definately a lot of tears... But I'll be back soon....

They look absolutely exhausted and sweating from head to toe. Not surprising with the heat!!! As we went further along the road, there were so many falling behind, with just their pants on, and some buying drinks from stalls.

They always use umbrellas to keep the sun away because they don't like getting darker. Quite different for travellers that love catching the sun!!!
