Wheel house tour
The Captain invited us to his "office" where he steers the ship. He works two weeks on and two weeks off. He has the same ship for the season. There are always two pilots while the ship is moving in the Wheel House. Geo: 49.2411, 1.39954
We head back towards Paris stopping in the small village of Les Andelys. We enjoyed sitting on the bow of the ship watching the beautiful countryside go by. This morning we had a tour of the Captain's Wheelhouse and a Lemon Tart demonstration by the chef.
The village, a garrison town of half timbered houses and narrow streets lies below the magnificent stronghold of Chateau Gaillard, a once impenetrable fortress built by Richard the Lionhearted (remember him?). Bob climbed all the way to the top and I wandered through the small town.
We had our farewell dinner tonight and tomorrow we head back towards Paris for our last day before heading back to 105 degree weather. Average temperature here is 72 degrees.

Really looks interesting. You probably have seen more of France than most French people have seen.
