Yeah, so we caught a bus out of Auckland yesterday (Talked with a very friendly east-indian bus driver for quite a while) then got out in the pouring rain and sat at the corner of this intersection and waited for a ride. We had our rain jackets so it wasn't that bad and a ride came after about ten minutes. A cool kiwi guy who works as an engineer picked us up and he was talkative and nice. We got quite a ways up the coast to a town that I can never pronounce or spell.... It was sunny then so we sat down and waited for another ride. It took a while, but eventually we got a ways further. This continued until we got to Paihia. We hiked a couple miles out of Paihia to a campground and pictched the tent for the night. apparently it has a small leak as we noticed later. It's only a drip, but we'll have to figure out how to fix it. It poured all inght, but when we woke up it was sunny so we took it easy and fixed breakfast at the communal kitchen. Right after breakfast the sun instantly faded and it suddenly poured for a looooong time. It let up and we had just enough time to pack our stuff up and leave before we had to pay for another night. Today, sitting in the rain waiting for another ride, ubut we got picked up by a cool englishman that had traveled for eight years before finally deciding to settle down here. He gave us a ride to Keri keri so... here we are. The family we're staying with comes in tomorrow so we still don't know where we will sleep tonight.
