Kangaroo Jacks 800th blog
Derby Rodeo,
I personally think this is the best picture Caroline has evertaken What would you say If we asked you to go to work for just over two years on a 38 hour week for no pay, what would you say? No? Well we thought as much!!. Well amazingly this is Kangaroojack’s 800
th Blog which represents that two years of work. And this blog is the diary of our entire life in Australia, warts and all.
We have lived a very transparent life and have always done our very best to showcase Australia for what a truly beautiful and unique country it is and to best describe the things that we have done, the people we have met and the places we have been with honesty and integrity, we have made the most delightful friends and done the most amazing things and in the times of difficulty these friends have demonstrated their mettle, always being there for us.
I really do wonder if the people who read our blog have ever imagined just how hard this has been, (not the blogging) but leaving a comfortable life in the UK, everything we were familiar with and everyone we knew, to go an live

Caroline and I at the Wemyss's Wedding recently in a completely different country and having to start functioning from day one where we knew absolutely nobody.
As our blog profile informs our readers when you open the Travel blog site, we had to start from scratch as we had absolutely nothing just the clothes we had with us and money in the bank, we didn’t even have a knife fork or spoon, so all these needed to be purchased as all our possessions were left behind in the old country.
When the adventure began, just three weeks after we landed in Australia, not only did we have the good fortune to be able to circumnavigate Australia in a clockwise direction for nearly 16 months, but we had, to adapt to all the usual, things like navigating this enormous country, wash our clothes, set up our bed, feed ourselves in fact everything, whilst trying to keep ourselves safe and away from harm.
So the culmination of statistics for this blog Number 800 are exactly this.
Statistics So far •As of 20 April 2015 - we have been away from the UK 2355 Days
•We have typed 1

Caroline shearing a sheep Million one hundred and thirty nine thousand two hundred and sixteen Words (1139216)
•Published 800 Blogs (at 4.5 hours a blog) equals 3600 hours divided by a 38 hour week equates to 94.7 weeks work which equate s to just over two years work continuously.
•We have posted 8619 photos and would estimate that we have taken in the region of over a 100,000 photo’s all stored on hard drives.
•And last but not least our readers have read our blogs 152,865 times which we are pretty pleased with.
I don’t think we have ever posted a blog that we weren’t truly happy with as it was always our intention that we provided as much information as possible and told our story just how it happened and I do hope our pictures embellished our adventures.
My final word is to Caroline whom has put so much in to our travel blogs, with her amazing photo’s, excellent spelling and editing skills, I don’t think I have ever published a blog without her going through it to ensure it made sense, I can honestly say

Caroline and I holding a citizenship certificate that I would not wished to have been on this amazing life changing journey with anyone other than her.
Thank you to all our readers for the kind messages we have been sent over the years I can honestly say they have kept is going.
So what’s next? Well we are away with Roobie for Anzac day with our friends for the long weekend, so it would be silly not to blog it so I guess that will be blog 801.
Finally I do hope you like some of the pictures with this blog as I know you have seen them before, but I think they are photo's that say who we ar and we are proud of them.
