That darn tower keeps sneaking into all my photos...
I'm back at school after another two week break- It seems there are breaks and holidays constantally in France! The first week was spent finally getting to see my Mom, and having a wonderful time being a tourist again with her in the south of france. Highly reccomended is the old rennisance areas of Lyon, and a relaxing bike ride along the coastline of Nice.
The second week was animation as usual in the abandoned school.
There's a little more than a month and a half left of my stay here. School at CalArts is ending, but the Gobelins semester dosen't end until June 30th. In the beginning of June is the Annecy animation festival, which the entire department heads down to for a week of film screenings, job-hunting and celebrating a year's worth of hard work.
This weekend was slow, I'm trying to make sure my budget lasts me while I'm here by not doing anything expensive. But a sunday afternoon walk with my camera is free, so by request, here are some shots of old Paris.

love it!
Kelly, I love the black and white, your composition is great. It makes me want to get back into the darkroom again. Glad you had fun with your mom, we missed her here but it was worth it to let her spend some time with you. Love you! - dad

nice!!!!
Kelly, even though your stay at france is almost over I think you spent it worthwhile. You went to Ireland, travelled all over france, tried european food and spice, got to know new people and made new friends... etc. your inspired me to signed up for the program as well for next year. good luck kelly! Do take pictures at the Annecy, and go see films!! PS: WHERE IS MY POSTCARD GIRL? ~Ed - Ed

Aw, man. June 30th?
Needless to say, we all miss you. No, I'm not speaking for myself, I speak for everyone. Except for the third year students. You should hear what they're saying about you. (Psyche.) This year's Open Show was a doozy. Some people fell off, some people were exceptional. There were some richly deserved, and some who I won't even mention. But all in all, it was the Godfather 2 of Open Shows. You've gotta see it. I hope your film is as beautiful as-- it can be. Ask someone important to send you a copy, it's well worth the look. - Daniel
