A sad farewell to Arizona, had such a fabulous time with everyone.... Thank you and thank you Clarice, Sandra and Sally for the lovely airport send off :-)
Survived the long long journey from Phoenix via LA to Auckland and hit the floor running at 6.30am Sunday morning. Did Auckland in a day, thanks to the hop on hop off (costa fortune) bus! Yep, it's very expensive down under.
Lovely weather, did the port, the Museum with lots of Maori artifacts and a traditional 'performance', lots of suburbs and fascinating architecture, the brilliant art gallery and the Sky Tower. A great day and then a well deserved, long sleep laying flat in a bed - great views from the 6th floor too!
Up and away early Monday morning on a 4 hour coach journey up to the very beautiful Bay of Islands. Dave the driver gave a commentary all the way - very interesting. Had a fabulous time there as I hope the pictures will tell, Paihia was lovely and the hotel great, the little town of Russell across the bay was heavenly and the Dolphin watch cruise was awesome, but BLOOMING wet! Second day poured with rain
all day so the boat trip was a challenge with rough seas. Got drenched but loved it. Awesomely fast drive along the mountainous roads back.... Dave was clearly in a hurry,.....and back to a dry and sunny Auckland evening.
Wednesday: the big day! Packed and manicure (I'm hooked on manicures now!) and lots of rain again....yuck ..... and the 7th flight.... This time to Melbourne and to Flo. Exciting - emotional - awesome!

Thanks Pam for the Fabulous Pics !! The best pic is the photograph with Flo.... I can imagine the emotions felt by both of you...especially after meeting such a longgggg time. Now both of you can come to India - I INSIST !!
