We left Provo at 9am and headed north on Interstate 15 driving through Salt Lake City, Ogden, and into Idaho. Driving through Utah on the 15 most of what we saw was "city" after "city"...not that scenic so were ready to leave this state. About 2 hours into Idaho just past Pocatello we stopped in the city of Blackfoot where we went to the "Idaho Potato Museum"!!! Such a cute little museum in an old train depot that tells the history of the potato, the growing process, the different types and grades of potatoes, the equipment used planting, harvesting and bagging the potatoes and the highlight (for Ryan I think) was the Guinness book of world records largest potato crisp (which is not the same as a potato chip) made by the Pringles Company! We also bought the famous potato candy, which the kids devoured and a fee postcards. Then we went tot the trailer and ate a quick lunch and then back on the road again, after a quick detour at Walmart in Idaho Falls for a new cooler (our old one finally gave out and leaked all over the trailer floor). From Idaho Falls we took Interstate 20 headed toward our destination in Island Park. This drive was beautiful! To our East we watched the Eastern Tetons and enjoyed beautiful farmland and eventually drove into beautiful pine trees and mountains (our kind of paradise). We kept watch over a thunderstorm straight ahead of us and we ended up driving right to it near our campground. Upon arriving at Red Rock RV park in Island Park Idaho we were delighted to see that we were in the middle of no where, exactly where we wanted to be! Sooooo beautiful, a huge rolling plain covered by wildflowers is our view out the front of our trailer and a steep pine tree covered mountainous the back of our trailer. The RV park is adorable, clean, we'll maintained, friendly people, nice RVS (much nicer than ours) and located in "paradise). After setting up we grilled carne asada and then took a walk over the knoll towards Lake Henry which was beautiful and strewn with wildflowers! There are lots of bugs and Mosquitos and we have decided we need to spray our Off on us before heading out! Lake Henry is suppose to be the best fishing I the U.S.! Not sure if we are going to fish there to Oreos but the opportunity to fish in some of the best fishing spots in the U.S. is abundant in this area...they call it an anglers paradise. After our walk we settled into a game of Kings Corner until we e were too tired to play anymore (even though Ryan was quite fired up) it was 10:00 and the sun had just set! Our internal clocks are all still getting adjusted to our 21 days of rest and relaxation!
