So we have arrived safe and sound in Bangkok.
We successfully navigated the public transport to get us to our hotel without any hitches, so feeling pleased with ourselves. Although there seemed to be a million steps at every train station we had to change at – not the easiest thing with our bags!
We also managed to check in early which is great. So I (Sarah) have showered, hand washed my dirty clothes and unpacked what I will need for Bangkok. Tom is crashed out fast asleep on the bed! I am itching to go out and explore, so I’m giving him another half an hour and I will be ‘accidently’ waking him up!
Anyway this is just a short message to let family know we have arrived ok. Will hopefully report back later with a summary of our first day in the ‘city of angels’.
