Exploring Hollywood

MATT

Today we got on the hop on hop off tour bus to ride around Santa Monica, where our hotel is. It took us into Beverley Hills where we walked around a bit. We saw the Beverley Hills shield which is so famous it is copyrighted. We walked along Rodeo Drive, I'm telling you it was like no normal cars allowed. There were Masseratis, Ferraris, Rollers, not to mention the Bughatti in the photo(the fastest legal car you can have on the road.)

We then got on the red route bus which took us to Hollywood and we got our first glimpse of the Hollywood sign. We went for a walk around Hollywood Bvd and saw lots of stars that belong to the stars: Michael J Fox, Hugh Jackman, Michael Jackson, Walt Disney, Bugs Bunny, the Simpsons and even Kermit the Frog!

We stopped for a drink on Sunset Bvd and asked the waiter about the traffic back to Santa Monica. Then the lady on the table behind us joined in our conversation. It turns out that lady was Selma Blair who starred in Legally Blonde and lots of other movies. She was on her own and just wanted a break from looking after her baby. You know you can't go to LA without meeting a celebrity!

Matt has already written about some of the stars that we saw on the pavement. Except there were lots of others like Selena Gomez, Charlie Sheen, Brittney Spears and a lot more. Form the bus we also saw the studios where Nickelodeon makes iCarly and Victorious.

For dinner, we sat near a table that had a fire place in the middle of it. After dinner I had a swim before going to bed.

Had to do it. It was in an area cordonned off for the premier of "What to Expect When You Are Expecting", so we had to get the security guy to take the photo. That's him in the shadow.

To End the Day
Dinner at the hotel around a "campfire" with the sun setting in the Pacific.

What a fantastic day that you've had. I wish that I was there, fancy chatting to Selma Blair. Was she nice? Tom will be very jealous that you got to stand next to that gorgeous car. Hope that you are all prepared for cold weather when you get back, it was -5 in Canberra yesterday. Brrrrrrrr
