Sydney Opera HouseSydney Opera HouseSydney Opera House

I couldn't help but run over to check out the SOH
5 hrs to phoenix. 1.5 hours to LA. 15 hours to Sydney. After leaving LA on June 29th at 1pm, I arrived via Qantas coach the next day at 10pm. Needless to say, the combination of insomnia and adrenaline led me to experience the city in a way that I would have normally experienced walking through Tokyo at 6am, after an entire night of partying with Shiruba-kun.
I arrived at the hotel, quickly looked for a wireless connection, and let my parents and my girl know that I am here and alive and well. And I am!
At 11:30pm I was tired. I saw my big plush bed, but I couldn’t help myself. I’m in AUSTRALIA! I put my shirt back on and jumped outside. A cool 50 degrees probably. I HAD to go see the opera house. It was beckoning.
Luckily, although I would have gone however long I needed to walk, I got there in a few minutes. “Pretty Cool!” I thought, as I snapped a bunch of pictures. It’s like shooting a model, you can’t take a bad pic. But seriously, I was tired, maybe even delirious had I been in the right mind to diagnose myself. Time

to get some rest.
I lay in bed, the room spinning slightly but not enough to disrupt me from entering a great dream about my dog paddling me on a boogie board out into the ocean. I guess I’ve got another one looking out for me on this trip. Great!

I have hasd those moments...
There was a year when I found myself in a certain part of the globe eight times! Any time I got a flight, the money and time, I was there. The experiences were so compelling during one stint, I stayed awake 38 hours. We were doing our favorite kind of partying- mixing with local people in rain forests where there were no televisions and nothing to prove. I am not a shutter bug like you Eriku. My pictures are all in my head but when you spoke of how compelling a look at the opera house was- I could really relate. Peace Bob
