It seems like everywhere I explore there are more and more of the most amazing sights I have ever seen in my entire life. This is the coolest city ever. This morning we went out to Torres Winery. This is the biggest winery in all of Barcelona. They have a plant here, in California, and Chile!! Who would have thought! We took the hour bus ride there, and first got to watch a video. It was interesting and talked about the founder and all that jazz. It showed us how they make the wine and what not. Then we got into this long short trolly looking thing that drove us through the vineyard. We got to see the vines, the casks where they hold all the wine, the fermenting tubs, and the thousands of bottles of wine that are aging in the facilities.

Then we went into this dark tunnel, where they shut the doors and all the lights went out. We heard the weirdest noises in the background, it sounded exactly like we were in Jurassic Park. We sat there in the pitch black for about 2 minutes, to the point where some of the girls were feeling uneasy about the odd situation. Then a bunch of projection screens popped out and showed videos of monks a long time ago distilling wine in the vineyard. It was the weirdest thing, but pretty cool at the same time.

After the tour was over, we were able to sample some wines inside. My professor bought the 35 Euro sample of the best wine they have there and let us all try it. It was pretty good, but for 200 Euro (250 dollars) a bottle, I'm not quite sure it's worth it.

I got to try about 8 different wines, and found one that was my absolute favorite, to the point where I knew I had to drink it again. So I went out to the store and looked around and found out that the wine that I wanted was the only one that they were sold out of! What bad luck there!

Afterwards we went back to the hotel and gathered into small groups to go out for the day. My group decided we wanted to go see the olympic stadium up in the mountain area. So we headed up there only to find out the area is a lot bigger than we thought! We found this elevator that was at the top of a huge building that you could ride up (for 1 Euro) and see the entire city. I thought I had seen every amazing view possible, but once again this was just unbelievable!

We walked around some more and went to the olympic stadium place and saw all of the surroundings. That was pretty cool. After, we went back to the main strip, where we found out that Saturday nights from 7-9 they have a fountain light show at the "Magic Fountain". So we watched that for awhile, which was completely worth it! I took a video of that, but unfortunately it says its taking 3 hours to upload, so I will do that tomorrow.

I'm attaching another batch of pictures, along with a video of a 2 man band we saw on the subway!! too funny!

Blog again soon...
