Leaving the beautiful Soussons farm for FranceCelebrated our last night in Dartmoor going out for Steves58th at the Princehall hotel ...it was a sumptuous experience and sooo british but the company made it.
Went to Brighton en route to dover and loved it ..full of young people and lots of energy
Set off from the cliffs of Dover on a midnight ferry like gap year people do trying to save money!!! When we got to Calais we parked in a supermarket carpark to sleep and woke surrounded by shoppers the next day..its rough on the bladder girls having to wait till tthe shop opens. Set off to Reims which took in the Somme and there were endless cemetries with the dead soldiers reminding me how stupid men and wars are.We skipped Belgium Denis said because Jill said they were all fat and ugly..not that i judge!!!!
Carried on to Luxemborg driving on the right is easy ..have pissed off a few frenchies at roundabouts but otherwise ok.They are all whining about poverty too like the UK...their wages have dropped to combat the greek debt.

The Squire of Soussons the world along the Mosel river to Koblenz...absolutely stunning and a winebufs heaven.Oh to be in the fatherland!!!! jedentag we essen apfulkuchen...denis is in heaven the cakes ar splendid and me just give me a bloody great schitzel and I ll soon be joining the Hitler youth or has that closed???? Now we are impressed with Bill and Julie that rode the Mosel!!!!Turning right we head for the Rhein which was diappointing and industrial compared to the Mosel.Tonight we are in Wurzburg contemplating should we go to Berlin!!! Just cooked a fine fish by the river and drinking some wine.We love Ruby..she is a cracker.
Yes well we went to Berlin..had to spend a night at Msdonalds by the motorway near leipzig as we coulndt find a place..in the heartland of the old East germany now.now berlins not that charming.. abit grey and breezeblock communist looking still..the main street from the Brandenburg gate to Alexander Platz is about it.The Currywurst is the big sensation!!! Say no more.The donuts however are the best in the world.and I have had a few as you can see by the size of my arse.Now Denis teeth are nearly all out so he needs a
straw these days.The camping parks were invented by Goebbles...everything efficient an you pay for everything..the showers last for 3 mins...and creepy I was waiting for the GAS.The germans up here are still quite stiff and humourless but probably have sex at home in their laderhosen and SS hats.We really should not have watched the Inglorious Bastards again while in Berlin.however we found a great suburb called Tegel and made friends with some germans over wine and lovely Italian food.
We set off to Dresden and stayed overnight..again Himmler scrambled our internet and the power goes off at 9PM..YOU VILL SLEEP NOW. The toilets on the Auto bahn stop are a symbol of german efficiency...a soapy brush pops out of the cistern and the WHOLE seat rotates under it to scrub where you just sat!! These people have different brains????
Today however we are in heaven in Prague so charming and cultured. I cant wait to hear Vivaldi by the philharmonic and Denis is hoping to find some teeth...hopefully not second hand in the market!!!!
