Hey you two get out of the way!!!!!Direct from hollyhead ireland we went to Cumbria..the beautiful lakes district..stunning scenery and literary greats like beatrix Potter and Wordsworth..who was he exactly????Cruised on the lake to ambleside and walked everywhere....... found the best jam donut since Australia.
Area noted by denis for its Banoffee Pie..his Target cargo pants will have to be recalled due to exploding buttons!!!
Thught about the yorkshire dales but the weather was appalling so headed for Oxford,Bath etc. OXFORD TODAY WAS AMAZING...walked there along the Thames..and explored all the ol buildings.After that went to bath and had a dinner at Jamie olivers Italian all very yummy with a seriously good truffle rissotto.The next day to Glastonbury to the crystal believers and mega dreadlocks. denis loved it and wanted to live there and find inner peace!!!
We went to see the glastonbury Tor but never climed it ..leave it to the druids!!!
Came home to Ruby..to find the Queen is going to Ascot races on sat...SO..SO is jill and denis..purchased the tickets on line and will drive Ruby up there and stay the night in Reading.Lets hope we win money because the budget is in a serious state of decline...NOW what to wear..what can we drag
out of the musty storage compartment and wear with aplomb??? Got up early at a caravan park in Reading drove to Ascot in the trackies..paid 6 pound to park all day.Cooked breaky in the van then dragged out our best clobber ans set off.The course is amazing lots of normal people and lots of posh.The great horse Frankl was racing and won again..I went to get a drink of water and a security guard stopped me and said stay there the Queen is coming..and then she drove up and walked to the lift to get to the royal box ..We could have touched her she was sooo close. The Duke of York was there too he is quite handsome..pity he has such poor taste in women!!! It was a great British day we came home poor but happy.The next blog will be in France folks so cant wait.....
