23-8-11 we arrived at the Pinnacles Caravan Park at Wanda Beach, $38 a night. We set up & had a swim in the pool & a walk on the beach; and enjoyed the Peacocks wandering around the park; we then met up with Tom & Di for a long happy hour. We travelled 253km today. 24-8-11 we went to the Daintree Ferry crossing & caught a cruise up the Daintree River, seeing lots of Crocodiles, birds & snakes. The cruise was $20 each & well worth it. We then crossed on the ferry, $22 return & made our way to The Discovery Centre at the Daintree, with an aerial walkway, tower & boardwalk around the forest. It was $28 each. The boys climbed the tower while we girls looked at the Discovery Centre. We then went to Cow Bay for lunch & a look at the beach, after that we visited Floravilla Gallery & Ice Cream, then the Daintree Ice Cream Company, yummy. We drove to Cafe on the Sea & turned around & headed for camp to have an early tea & have a good bye drink with Tom & Di. It was great to see them again.
