For part two of today's funstivities (yes, I made that up) we went to the world famous Blue Lagoon, home of the Chase credit card commercial! It would seriously awesome. Once we arrived after the 45 minute drive from our hotel we enter the locker rooms and get out our bathing suits and headed over to the shower. Rachel led me to believe that I was going to have to shower naked before enter the Blue Lagoon, along with everyone else entering, in a community shower. Thankfully that had stalled showers, a couple of which had doors. That just would have been uncomfortable for reasons I don't need to mention on here.

Anyway, the temperature outside was probably 50-55 today and we just had to shower plus the addition of 20 MPH wind gusts... yeah it was pretty cold outside until you actually got into the hot springs of the Blue Lagoon. Once in the water it was super warm and at points I literally felt like my skin was going to burn off, apparently this is a normal "natural" feeling of hot springs. Within 10 minutes Rachel and I definitely had silica facials going on, which was quite interested. The silica felt like a mix between hand cream, sand and play-doh. Now picture rubbing that on your face and THAT is supposed to be good for your skin. I went with it and I haven't had an allergic reaction yet so that's a plus!

While we were at the lagoon Rachel's momma was spying us on the webcam (Mom, Dad, were you?). They have a web came set up at the Blue Lagoon and you can see it via the web and Sue was following our every move; kinda scary! We also went up to the swim up bar, if you will. I ordered a raspberry slush drink and Rachel got her Skyr stuff.

After a few hours in the hot springs we got out, washed up and headed back on the bus to the hotel. On the way there and back the scenery basically looked like a lava field or something. There was no people and it was all mis-shaped rocks (probably from lava at some point). The Blue Lagoon is literally in the middle of nowhere.

Finally we arrived home for the night and we did some walking around town and then hit up Caruso's for dinner. It's now waaaaaaaaay past my bed time in Icleand (almost 12:30) and we have another 7AM wake up. Until tomorrow, have a great night, enjoy the reading and remember to comment below!
