It's 12:30 on Friday morning and I'm FINALLY done packing (or so I think). Right now my suitcase is clocking in at a whopping 43.6 pounds which is ridiculously high for me. If I were going to the Caribbean on Saturday instead of Iceland I'd have a pair of shorts, two shirts and a bathing suit. The thing about Iceland is the weather is tricky. I have to pack for rain, cold weather and semi-warm weather (60 degrees is shorts weather for me).
I'm really excited for this trip and in less than 48 hours I will be on a plane to Iceland. People are always asking me at work, "who goes to Iceland" and the answer to that is me (and Rachel). I don't know anyone else who has been to Iceland which is what's so exciting about this experience. It's a whole new world for us, essentially.
Hopefully each night before bed (four hours ahead of New Jersey) I will be updating my blog, along with Rachel updating hers, with highlights of our day and some sweet photos! Check back often and leave me some comments! I will try and bring home as much glacier ice as possible, but there is no guarantee.
Thanks for reading,
Jason
