Just a quick blog today as we are waiting for our transport to take us to Bangkok.
In total we have spent around 12 weeks in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos and there is one thing that we have noticed along the way…..bikes. Motorbikes, bicycles, Cyclos, Tuk-Tuks and any number of adapted forms of two wheeled transport are everywhere you look. It began in Hanoi, where it is almost impossible to cross a road without bumping into a motorbike, and has continued through all the other places we have stayed. For those taking notes, it is a long list:
Hanoi
Sapa
Halong Bay
Hue
Hoi An
Nha Trang
Dalat
Mui Ne
Ho Chi Minh City
Can Tho
Phu Quoc
Phnom Penh
Battambang
Siem Reap
Sihanoukville
Kampot
Kep
Kratie
Ban Lung
Stung Treng
Pakse
Savannakhet
Vientianne
Vang Vieng
Luang Prabang
Phonsavan
In short, wherever you go in this part of the world, the bike is king. It can be anything and everything you want it to be; a taxi, a people carrier, a delivery vehicle, a bed, a removal vehicle, a shop, a fruit stall, or sometimes simply a way of getting from A to B.
Here is a collection of photos
showing exactly how versatile two wheels and an engine can be!

Quality Transport Always
A sound comprehensive photo collection. I have been meaning to compile one for a long time but now i fear that those time may have passed. No parasol wielding drivers though! One of my favourites!
