Magically managed to get wifi on my transfer from JFK to San Francisco. So basically posting this just because I'm bored.
Journey has run pretty smoothly so far. The tv screen didn't work on the last flight so I got exceptionally bored, tired and emotional and had a quiet little weep over photos from home, and then nearly finished one of the only three novels I've brought with me (The Help, Kathryn Stockett). Also had a v confusing conversation with my neighbour trying to establish exactly what a 'streetcar' is, but am still none the wiser. But now things are looking up as I have unlimited skype to home for the next 3 hours 😊
p.s. Rachel is not my favourite person for hacking into my skype account and messaging Simon - no US goodies for you

You've probably worked this out by now, but a googling confirmed my suspicion that 'streetcar' is 'tram'. P.S. Already soooo jealous. Why oh why didn't I find the time to send in that form >.<
