Hiya all. Sorry we haven't been updating but the internet was down at the hotel and we couldn't log on. Plus it's been family visits and stuff, which is great for me but probably boring for everyone else! lol

So.... what have we been up to. We had a lovely relaxing time in London. On Friday we headed to Watford to pick up the car. We have a Vauxhall Meriva. It's not a bad car though Mark tells me it's got no pickup.. lol.. I wouldn't know because I don't drive over here.. way too much traffic for me. Mark handles it fairly well, something to do with driving in Victoria I'd say. Well after picking up the car we headed off on the M25 making our way to see Leslie and Jo. We had a lovely visit with everyone and finally got to meet Isaac and Joey. We went out to dinner with Leslie and Tony and had a lovely meal, even though the bartender was a prat. lol We stayed at Leslie's the night and went to see Jo's new house the next morning. It was great to catch up with them all and I'm so glad I got to spend some time with them all. xxx

Saturday we headed off to Sherwood Forrest. We wanted to see the Major oak that Robin Hood and his Merry Men apparently camped out in. It was a lovely drive and the country side is beautiful and green. We finally made it there about half past 3 (We did leave Jo's house later than we said we would. I was just having such a nice time with them) and had a nice walk to where the tree is. Now I'm not sure about this, and maybe Dad can correct me if I'm wrong, but I've got a strong memory of going to this tree as a kid, before we left the UK to live in Australia. It is HUGE. The signs say it's about 1500 years old, and they've had to use big steel poles and frames to hold up the branches. It's magnificent. There were some guys dressed up like the Merry Men teaching people how to shoot arrows with a long bow (not the real kind cos they would of been way to hard to shoot) so Mark had a go at it and did pretty good. He hit the target quite a few times and even hit the pig (not a real one!) in the neck. Then I had my turn and did pretty good to. I even managed to hit the pig in the throat. Bacon for breakfast after all!! hehe

We headed off again and looked out for a place to stay on the way to Hull. Everywhere we tried was full so we ended up driving all the way to Hull and came to the Campanile Hotel which we'd booked into anyway. It was a nice drive, and it gets dark here pretty late so Mark didn't have to navigate in a strange place in the dark.

Sunday morning we spent an hour doing our washing and then went to my brother Steve's place for a BBQ with all the family. We had a wonderful afternoon and had lots of laughs. It was really lovely seeing them all again after 3 years. This time I had chance to get to know my brother and sister better and it was great.

Today we just did a bit of shopping in Hull. Walked around a bit and bought a new bead for my

Pandora bracelet (Thanks AM, HAR and Lisa). I got a Union Jack for it. Had a lovely dinner then went and lost a couple of quid in the casino.

Tomorrow we're off out to do a bit of sightseeing so we'll add some more then. Love you all.... Take care! xxxxx
