We left our Doolin B & B at about 9am and drove to the Cliffs of Moher. We are blessed with another beautiful sunny day, though quite windy.
You drive into a very big carpark at the Cliffs of Moher and walk up to cliffs.
We spent about 4hours here taking in the beauty of it all.
The views are spectacular and the bird life abundant.
I think the photos say it all. We followed some other tourists through a hole in a fence and walked a very narrow, and at times, scary path along the clifftop,.
We also climbed up the windy staircase in O'Brien's viewing tower (even though it was OUR tower, they still made us pay.....some nerve!)
After a fabulous time walking along the cliff top and taking in the views we made our way north along some very narrow roads. At one point we saw a sign saying "corkscrew hill" the bends were just like a corkscrew; however, the crazy speed sign said it was a 100kmh zone! We travelled at about 30kmh.
The hills in this area were very barren and covered with rock. We also drove passed some muddy inlets and the road was very narrow and lined with high hedges and high stone stacked walls.
We arrived back in Dublin at about 4.30pm and went down to the Local, The Goblet for a few drinks with Claire and Michael before dinner,
Enjoy the pictures, don't forget to scroll down to view them all,
