The plan was to get to the rock for sunrise at 7:15am but as you might have already guessed that didn't happen!!!!! The other 3 wanted to climb the rock but it was closed as it was too windy on the summit- I am so gald though as its the steepest thing i've ever seen and all there is is a chain to pull yourself up! They ask you not to climb it out of respect to the Aboriginals- so I have no idea why they still allow you as 35 people have died trying to climb it- suppose it brings people here being able to climb it- asking you not to covers their backs!!
We made it back to the rock (me and Vix hiding in the back entering the park as we only had the 2entry passes!!!!) and did the 3-4 hr base walk, which was fine as it was flat but HOT-HOT-HOT!

We had lunch back at the camp- the flies everywhere are really pissing me off now!

We went to see the Ulgas- another rock formation thing in the national park. The flies there- O MY GOD! They cover you!!!! They were in our mouths and ears- everywhere! On the way back- panicing as short of petrol we stopped off at the view point for both the Ulgas and Ayers Rock, made it to the very expensive petrol staion in time................. saw some more Abos there- gosh they are funny things- they look so dirty and the women have never worn bras- they are down to their knees!!!!

Me and Darren walked to the shops and later that night me, vix and Darren played cards and drank beer whilst Paul went to the pub.................................................................
