Silvassa Dudhni

Offlate style of my travel has changed.. Till last year i used to take a weeks leave.. Go to the destination by train..Book a car from there local travel agent.. Cover most of the places in the region by travelling around 1000kms in 5 days..

Now i m a biker.. And been to Aurangabad, Silvassa, Malshej, Pune, Panchgani, Shirdi.. In this format i go our more often. Covered most places in single day visit.. So next time i will have to go on at least 3 days ride.

This blog narrates my day trip to Silvassa from Mumbai. We left from mumbai-Goregaon at 5:30 am. We drove through dark till Virar phata. By then the sun was out. Next halt was at Vithal Kamath near Manor.

The NH-8 was good good road and i was on my first ride of my RE 350. Wanted to enjoy the ride so was driving at stable 60 speed. There was some jam at talasari but after that road was open again. Reaching bhilad we turned right towards silvassa. We parked bike besides to ask locals what are the places of interests.

After reaching Silvassa we turned left to ride for around 6 kms to visit Vanganga lake garden. I had last visited this place around 20 years back from our school when i was kid.. 😊 After spending some time over here we returned back towards silvassa to visit Silvassa garden. By now it was around 1 pm..

Now we headed towards Madhuban dam and also visited lion safari. Saw some lions also... The ride around the road surrounding the madhuban dam was awesome..

Our next destination was deer park.. but we dint go in.. We drove for around 2 hours to reach dudhani.. Its a place where u can enjoy some water sports in backwaters of madhuban dam. After this it was time for return journey.. 😊 😊Reached mumbai by 10ish..

Hotel Madhuban
Please make them write the offers they are providing to you, as guys on the reception will turned back to his words once you are in the hotel... very bad experience of giving a beautiful weekend break to my husband which turned sour & we end up paying lot of money instead of getting floral offer by the hotel.

Regarding stay
well be planning an industrial tour of our college students strength of 50. We would need a cheap affordable and comfortable place to stay at silvassa in december for 2-3 days max. Any suggestions?? Please try to reply ASAP. :) Thanks a ton
