ask rickshaw wala that you want to go to mahuli fort.. as u get on the actual small road when u climb down on the other side of mumbai-nashik highway.. pick some local guy from village to be ur guide.. the fort is open for public. for return back u can take phone number of the rickshaw wala or there is a bus service..till the temple i have metioned...rely more on the bus option,...

Hotel Madhuban
Please make them write the offers they are providing to you, as guys on the reception will turned back to his words once you are in the hotel... very bad experience of giving a beautiful weekend break to my husband which turned sour & we end up paying lot of money instead of getting floral offer by the hotel.

A few mistakes
I too have visited this park and would like to point out a few mistakes in your blog entry-- 1. It is right opp. the dharavi bus depot 2. People/Jaywalker are not allowed into the park on certain days so check that to when tourist visit. 3. you are most probably not going to see ANY snakes(pythons to be accurate) in the park within 5mins because they are generally seen on rocks during 6am-10am &12pm-1:30pm as they are cold blooded animals.

I was just a visitor to Maharashtra Nature Park. You can also visit the park. But i dont know if it has medicinal plants. One that i remember of is a Botanical garden at Waghai near Saputara. There i had seen medicinal plants. You can visit the same too.

A place for snake lovers
I visited the park somewhere in the month of November. In a time frame of 3 hrs I was lucky enough to spot about 8 snakes. 5 Rat Snakes, 2 Vipers and a Cobra............. Amazing experience.

We had been to Bhandardara last monsoon. The umbrella waterfall is worth visiting. There are many bollywood movie shootings taken place at Bhandardara. The river is worth for river rafting sports. www.travelindia360.net

Bhandardara Visit.
Its really Nice place to visit during Mansoon !! I went to there from Mumbai by Train to Egatpuri..ftom there we went to place named GOTI by sharing auto with 8 Rs per head. then from there booked one CAB for Rs.1300 to visit 3 places 1.> Bhandardara DAM 2.> Randha WaterFall 3.> Ratangad FORT. PRecautions: 1.> If u want to go for Kalsubai Start UR treck very early in morning before 7 am. then only its possible for u to return by EOD. If u r not regular trecker. 2.> For Ratangad it takes 2 Hrs to reach at top so plan accordingly.

sea route
hi .. havent heard about any sea route tho.. i never thought of that but its a good idea..you can still investigate and even let me know if there is any such route.. by road however there is one main road which takes you to nageshwar temple. from nageshwar you can go to dwarka. you can also go through vasai. vasai has a old temple.. go to vasai if you are really interested in historic stuff..from vasai you can directly go to nageshwar without coming back to main road.
