Our first proper week in Nepal has come to an end far too quickly but then again we have been super busy! We started it off sipping cocktails (and some unbranded Nepali "wine") overlooking Phewa Tal - Pokhara's famous lake. We hadn't realised how much we had missed "mo-hee-toes" and used this as an excuse to celebrate the amazing 2 months we had in India.

Though slightly exhausted from our Indian stint we thought it best to stick to some smaller day hikes as opposed to attempting the Annapurna circuit. Our first trek lead us up to the World Peace Pagoda providing us with a fantastic view of the lake and city below us. Nothing overly strenuous but fun all the same and we even got a doonga back to the other side of the lake!

A slightly more blood pumping activity was paragliding from Sarangkot! The ride up was certainly bumpy and perhaps not the best for those with an already weak stomach! Neither was seeing the city grow smaller and smaller below us! After a very, very short "explanation" that basically told us to just run off the edge of this mountain we were ready to fly! We waited for the wind to pick up before being counted down and told to run as fast as we could towards the Stupa on the other side of the lake. And as simple as that we were flying, floating through the air at such a great height. We spiraled our way up the thermals to be flying with the Egyptian vultures and all in all had pretty much the best view in town! Half an hour quite literally flew by and after landing we carried ourselves to the nearest cafe for a well deserved Fanta by the lake!

Although nothing could be quite as exhilarating as paragliding we continued the energetic activities by renting a bike to cycle up into old Pokhara. There we visited the Gurkha Museum and went on a mission to find the deep Seti Gorge - the Himalayan water really is quite cold! Perhaps not the best place to swim but we did test the water all the same! Thankfully the way back was all downhill as neither of us could sit on our bikes properly anymore! Let's just say the seats weren't exactly designed with us in mind!!

Considering we could barely walk the next day - well actually we were able to walk, only we looked like cowboys - we thought an easy stroll in order! Devi Falls seemed the perfect choice. However, 10km later we were no longer of the same opinion but thankfully it was worth the walk!

Being windy season the afternoons have been relatively stormy resulting in us consuming lots of pots of tea and delicious food! I think it is safe to say our stomachs are now recovering from the Indian bugs that we picked up along the way!
