Up early and down to breakfast before checking out of the room. We took the metro down to Raffles Hotel which is the most expensive hotel in Singapore. They allowed us to wonder around the hotel and shops - not that we could afford anything though! We then headed off to the Marina, the youth Olympic Games sight and a few other tourist attractions before making our way back to the hostel.
After a few snacks we got the metro to the Singapore flyer (Singapore’s equivalent to the London Eye). We got on just as it was starting to get dark and by the time we were at the top the sun had set and we could see the whole city in lights. It looked awesome and we managed to get some great pictures.
Once we had finished the trip we got the metro and headed to China town where we stopped for some dinner and a few drinks.
