With our bellies full of the best of British, mine in particular!, we are off to explore, hopefully, the best of Mexico. Life in the UK has been good, it makes a change to have time to do things instead of the normal cramming. In the last few weeks we have been active but not too busy. We've been over to Wales, visited my grandad's grave for the first time, taken various walks including going up and around Pistyll Rhaeadr, a wonderful waterfall and caught up with friends in that area (thanks Christine). We managed to hook up with Sharon's boss in London, visited museums, galleries and occassionaly spent a few hours sitting outside pubs people watching as the city experienced a few days of 30 degree weather!
We loved staying at Penny's flat in Wandsworth (thanks Penny), our first eperience of the south side and we were very impressed. Penny's local served strawberry beer on tap which Sharon loved and I also noticed someone drinking the Oz beer, Little Creatures, which I didn't realise was available in the UK. Of course, I stuck to the local ale, of which the varieties are endless! :-)
We've attended lots of
lovely bbq's and parties - thank you for all the invites and the efforts of the hosts, very much appreciated and remember, we're happy to return the favour in Oz :-)
So now we will go sample "Why did the mexican push his wife of the cliff?" Tequila! and discover just how bad our spanish is....gulp.
