Hills and valleys from the suburbs
*NOTE: It's unhappy with me for having so many pictures, I guess, but for some reason you have to scroll way down to see the pictures, and some of them are on the second page (click the little "2" above or below the entry, then scroll all the way down again). Sorry about that!

Hi again everyone!

Here are some pictures from around my neighbourhood (Ramat Eshkol), my first venture into the Old City, and my trip to Machane Yehuda market today. My old city trip didn't really include any big sites, but it was neat to just get a little taste. Machane Yehuda took a bit of effort to figure out on the bus (and some false starts - I spent more on repeated bus tickets than on shopping, haha), but it was ultimately a good, confidence building experience.

Hope you enjoy the pictures! And PLEASE, if you've read it and you have a minute, leave me a comment or message or send me an email. I'm not sure if the subscribe thing is working, and it's more rewarding to put the effort into this if I know it's being read. Also I

Great Blog
Loved the pictures and how happy you look. Sympathize with weary time-lag. Question: What is the Tiny Perfect Door? Miss you and love you, and love hearing from you. Thank you! Grandma

OH MY GOD. The food! That ice cream looks awesome. Mira got an ice cream maker for her birthday so I am curious as to whether the lemon mint is more lemony or minty. Please inform me for ice cream making purposes. I love the pictures of the shuq. It's funny, even though I copied the spelling of that from your picture, I feel like I'm spelling it wrong. And that I have now written some awful swear word. WRITE MOAR or START A TUMBLR.

That shot of the Franciscan well is gorgeous! I also really like the light and shadow in the shot of the entrance to the Franciscan friary.
