The Edge Of The World
Apparently it is............read the plaque for yourself. From Stanley where we had the best home-made scones with home-made raspberry Jam and cream, we headed to Murrawah which is the North Western most point in Tasmania (via main road). We stayed at Arthur Pieman Conservation Area overnight and the next day proceeded to drive to Corrina, which is inland from the coast. More amazing wild rugged country where the coastline experiences roaring 40 winds from the Southern Ocean. (close to the Antartic here and quite cold considering its only March). We camped at Corrina overnight and loved it here. Nestled in a rainforest alongside the Savage River, here platypus would play and at night the nocturnal mammals such as the wallaby and possums would wake and visit the fireside to see if we might feed them a little something. You are not encouraged to feed these animals as it is better for them to find food in their natural habitats. From Corrina we drove up to Cradle Valley and did some great walking tracks. A favourite was Dove Lake Circuit, one of the 60 best short walks in Tasmania, we also did Snake Hill, Ronny River, Cradle Falls & Crater Lake. From Cradle Valley we headed to Strahan where

Apparently this is what they call the edge of the world we stayed 3 days. No photos of Cradle Valley in this part of the blog but I will add them in later as we went back up to Cradle Valley again to climb the Cradle Valley Summit.....bit like climbing Everest really....well I thought it was.
