Banana Slugs, Rain, and Falling Trees

I decided to spend my easter in Muir woods. I woke up and figured out how I was going to get there, walked outside to get to my car and oh! rain?! No!! I decided to go anyway but had to make a pit stop for an umbrella.
Now the proud new owner of an overpriced purple umbrella I'm off to Muir Woods.

The path was pretty straight forward until I ended up on twisty roads. I wanted to stop and enjoy to view but one second with my eyes off the road could have equaled falling off the cliff.

After a slow rainy climb up the mountains I made it. 5$ admission was cheaper than my umbrella. With a trail map I was off. I ended up staying for about 4 hours walking around admiring the creeks, massive trees (one of which was falling in the distance) and the 1 banana slug that decided it wasn't too rainy for him to come out and say Hi. It was quite beautiful.

There were a few ocean view hikes I wanted to go on but I had no idea how bad the rain was going to get. By the time I left it was pouring and the wind just started to pick up.

Overall it was a fun way to spend easter, now i'm soaked and my poor sneakers are mud colored but at least I got some good recordings of rain, birds and babbling creeks.

Next stop...Yosemite 😊
